
The Automobile you drive is just as important in saving energy as your house is. Running the family car probably costs you more energy dollars than home heating and air conditioning combined. Gas, oil, maintenance costs, regular checks, heating, cooling etc. adds to more than a ton of money. But, there are ways you can conserve energy and your money.
Do you practice these fuel-saving driving habits?

---Inflate tires to manufacture manufactures' specifications. Harder tires not only save gas but save wear on the tires.
---Check tire pressure monthly.
---Tune up your car and change the oil regularly.
---Keep unnecessary weight out of the car and roof top racks off when not in use.
---Don't warm up the engine with long idling. Check manufacturers' specifications and keep warm up to a minimum.
---Plan ahead to combine errands into one trip. Travel at off-peak traffic hours.
---Use public transportation, car pools and van pools.
---Get everyone in the family walking, biking and hiking. Exercise power makes you feel better too!
---Use air conditioning only when necessary.
