Keep the Warm Air in

Text Box: Many kinds of weather stripping are sold for doors and windows. Door thresholds - where door bottom meets sill - need a tight, lasting seal. The best seal is an inter-locking metal threshold, but vinyl and adjustable sweep thresholds are easier to install.
Text Box: Weather stripping doors and windows is a do-it-yourself energy saving project that can involve the whole family. Duct tape is recommended for this job. It is strong and can keep the cold air out and the warm air in. You also have to weather strip doors, floors, attics etc.

Text Box: Attic doors may be insulated by stapling foil faced fiberglass to the attic side of the door. Don't forget to weather strip doors that lead to unheated spaces such as a porch, garage, attic or basement.
