There are many things that can determine the efectiveness of a presentation. By providing some of this information ahead of time we feel it can help you determine whether the presentation might be effective for your particular application. So here is a short description of each of the items that we display about the presentation:

Pages:
This can be used to determine how much class time will be taken up to give this presentation. The more pages, the longer the presentation and the longer the presentation the longer the kids have to pay attention. We recommend that a presentation for younger kids should be under ten pages.

Graphics:
Are there pictures? Pictures definitely help drive home your point. They also help keep younger kids interested in your message. We always recommend the use of graphics in any presentation.

Sound:
Are the animations accompanied by sound? Sounds help keep younger students entertained throughout the entirity of the presentation, although, for older students they may get annoying and disruptive. So, we recommend that sound be used for presentations for younger kids and not for older kids.

Navigation:
How does the presentation progress? This field is usually answered by either 'mouse' or 'timer'. If the value is 'mouse' you know that to progress the slide show you will need to click your mouse. If the value is 'timer' then you know that the slide show will progress automatically without your intervention.

Size:
The file size is a very important attribute that should be considered before downloading anything. As a point of reference a 56k modem usually downloads files at approximately 5K a second. This means that a file that is 400kb would take about 3 minutes to download!

We hope that by providing this information will help you determine which presentations are the best for your individual needs.
